The GREEN VELO Eastern Cycling Trail (2,070 km, including approx. 190 km - Świętokrzyskie section)
The route leads through 5 voivodeships of Eastern Poland. The Sandomierz section of the route is a link between the Świętokrzyskie and Podkarpacie provinces. The best way to start the trip is from the Royal Castle in Sandomierz, which can be reached from the Mały Rzym Hotel by Żeromskiego Street and Podwale Dolne Street.
There the trail leads towards Ułanów and Rudnik nad Sanem (Podkarpackie Province) or through Klimontów to the ruins of Krzyżtopór Castle in Ujazd, and further to Kielce in the Świętokrzyskie province part of the route. The trail runs along bicycle trails, calm asphalt roads and dirt roads. Its entire length was marked with metal plates of a characteristic, orange color.
