The nearby Fabryka Ruchu (Motion Factory) is a recreation area meant for both children and adults. The broad offer is bound to satisfy any preference or need, from ballet for the youngest, through Judo for the slightly older, to Zumba for adults and many other types of activities conducted by professional instructors.
Fabryka Ruchu also hosts the Pozytywka (Music box) playroom, where children from 3 to 10 can play at a two-level maze with obstacles, a slide, a ball pit and have fun with many creative toys.
30 km from Sandomierz there is the Konary Ski Station - a well prepared, 480-meter-high slope where all the guests can have the best of time with winter sports. The ski station is located in a small town in the Sandomierz county, near the historic castle of Krzyżtopór. The station also has a ski slope for beginners and children and a free car parking for customers. We also sincerely recommend the Adventure Skiing school which teaches and helps practice skiing under the supervision of qualified instructors.
Multifunctional sports fields
Right next to the Mały Rzym Hotel there is a complex of two multi-function pitches. One of them is an artificial grass football pitch, the size of 30x62 meters; the other one is multifunctional (30x50 meters), ready for handball, volleyball and basketball. Both are illuminated and fenced with high netting to keep the flying balls inside. There is a building with locker rooms, toilets and storage.
The pitches are open on weekdays from 4 pm to 8:30 pm,
and also on Saturdays and Sundays – from 10 am to 8:30 pm
The hotel Guests can use the pitches free of charge upon prior reservation at the reception.
There is also a possibility to rent balls.
Guided tours of Sandomierz
Explore the charms of Sandomierz, called the Little Rome, with a professional guide who will lead our Guests along the numerous priceless monuments of the centuries-old history. The standard guided tour programme includes a visit to the only preserved entrance gate of the city, called the Opatowska Gate, a tour of the Cathedral Basilica and the Church of St. Jakub with the Dominican Vineyard located there, a visit to the Jesuit Collegium Gostomianum, a walk along the Underground Route and much more. The tour takes about 2 hours.

For the more leisurely tourists, the city has prepared an alternative way of exploring Sandomierz, trips with electric vehicles. The information about the monuments is played from a recording with an audio system in several languages or presented directly by the driver. In the Sandomierz region, where grapevine has been successfully cultivated since the 13th century and wine has been sold to many European countries, the Wine Section has been formed. It has set itself the task of association and integration of the present vineyard owners in the region. Owing to the unique geographical and climatic conditions, the vine cultivation in Sandomierz is not only possible but the grapes are good enough to produce high quality wine.
The exceptional climatic conditions have lead to the establishment of several vineyards in the region that have expressed their willingness to join the association. The winemakers together with the "Sandomierz Apple Trail" Association decided to create a "Sandomierz Wine Trail", which will be a tourist route leading through their oenological farms, offering not only tastings and guided tours of vineyards and wineries, but also professional help in setting up and running amateur wine production.
